Software Engineer – AI Apps Backend Developer

Avanade is looking for a developer at the Sr. Analyst level who is excited about building and automating enterprise-scale solutions using .NET, Java, or JavaScript. In this role, you will contribute across the full development lifecycle, leveraging cloud technologies and modern DevOps practices to deliver secure, scalable, and high performing systems. You’ll partner closely with cross functional teams to design and implement APIs, microservices, and data integrations that solve real business challenges and drive meaningful impact.

Qualifications

What you'll do

• Build and automate features and services that solve complex business problems and power enterprise‑scale systems.
• Implement APIs and microservices, including integration with external systems, as well as database design, data access, and ORMs.
• Develop scalable, cloud‑based solutions with a strong focus on security, performance, and reliability.
• Apply modern development and DevOps practices such as CI/CD, containerization, and automated testing.
• Collaborate with global and offshore teams to deliver high‑quality project outcomes.
• Communicate technical concepts clearly to both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
• Understand customer processes and challenges and translate them into effective technical solutions.

Skills And Experiences

• At least 1 year of relevant experience, preferably in a technology or consulting environment.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, MIS, or equivalent professional experience.
• Up to date knowledge of Microsoft products and cloud ecosystem advancements.
• Beginner to Intermediate experience with programming languages such as C#, .NET, or the Java stack.
• Hands on experience developing RESTful services, microservices, ASP.NET Core, Azure API Management, or Azure API Apps.
• Familiarity with Azure compute, storage, and PaaS services (Web Apps, Cognitive Services, Logic Apps, Azure Functions, App Services, Service Bus).
• Experience working with data technologies such as SQL Server, Azure SQL, and ORMs like Entity Framework or Hibernate.
• Exposure to containerization tools such as Docker and orchestration platforms like Kubernetes or AKS.
• Basic experience with RPA tools such as Blue Prism, UI Path, or Automation Anywhere.
• Understanding of DevOps tools and workflows including Git, Azure DevOps, Maven, or Jenkins.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly.
• Experience collaborating with global and offshore teams.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and within team environments.
