Sales and Service Route Driver Trainee

Safety-Kleen is seeking a Sales and Service Route Driver Trainee. In this exciting role, you will train to drive a Class B box truck, providing essential onsite service for parts washer machines, handling containerized hazardous waste pickup, and promoting our products and services along your defined route. Safety-Kleen will cover the costs for you to obtain your CDL.

Responsibilities

• Prioritize health and safety by adhering to all work practices, policies, and procedures.
• Complete daily services, deliveries, and pickups on schedule.
• Switch out 15- & 30-gallon drums of solutions at customer sites.
• Ensure all documentation and labeling are completed accurately.
• Generate and collect leads for new products and services.
• Sell additional products and services to existing customers.
• Follow all local, state, and federal compliance regulations.
• Safely operate vehicles in accordance with U.S. DOT and all applicable regulations.
• Adhere to corporate guidelines and environmental health and safety protocols.
• Perform other assigned duties as needed.

Qualifications

• Must obtain a CDL B license within 180 days of employment (company paid).
• Must obtain Hazmat and Tanker endorsements within 30 days of acquiring CDL B.
• Able to work independently, managing time and productivity effectively.
• Basic computer and math skills required.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong problem-solving abilities.
• Physical capability to perform job requirements.
• Pass a background check, drug test, and physical (as per position requirements).

Preferred Qualifications

• Strong customer service skills.
• Experience with commercial route driving (Class C or non-CDL).
