Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Platform Engineer with deep expertise in banking products and systems. The ideal candidate will have experience in mainframe environments, including COBOL or Assembler, and a proven track record in system conversions. This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to bridge business needs with technical solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Gather, analyze, and document business requirements for banking systems and processes.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to define functional specifications and ensure alignment with business objectives.
• Support mainframe-based applications, with a preference for experience in COBOL or Assembler.
• Lead and assist in system conversion projects, ensuring data integrity and minimal disruption.
• Translate business requirements into technical specifications for development teams.
• Conduct gap analysis and recommend process improvements.
• Perform detailed testing and validation of system changes.
• Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for requirements, processes, and workflows.
• Act as a liaison between business units and technical teams to ensure clear communication.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Banking domain expertise, including knowledge of core banking products (e.g., deposits, loans, payments).
• Hands-on experience with mainframe systems; COBOL or Assembler preferred.
• Proven experience in system conversions and migrations.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with exceptional attention to detail.
• Ability to work with technical teams and understand system architecture.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Familiarity with SDLC, Agile methodologies, and testing practices.
