As a Lead Cybersecurity Fraud Detection Analyst, your analytical skills will be key to identifying and investigating fraudulent activities on our hCaptcha SaaS security platform. You will leverage your expertise in data analysis, financial transactions, and web traffic to drive sophisticated investigations into fraud patterns.

Your core responsibilities include

• Monitoring and analyzing diverse data from financial transactions and web traffic to proactively detect and respond to fraudulent activities.
• Leading comprehensive investigations of suspected fraud by analyzing behavioral patterns to assess risks and outline effective strategies.
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams such as Engineering, Product, Customer Support, and SOC to refine and improve fraud detection and prevention mechanisms.
• Assisting in the automation of fraud detection processes, building insightful dashboards and reports.
• Regularly auditing and enhancing fraud detection protocols to align with industry standards and best practices.
• Keeping abreast of emerging fraud trends, technologies, and regulatory changes to ensure our fraud prevention strategies remain current.

What We Are Looking For

• A minimum of 3 years’ experience in fraud detection, financial data analysis, risk management, or trust & safety.
• Proficiency in SQL, with a working knowledge of Python for data analysis and visualization.
• A comprehensive understanding of fraud detection methodologies and the current fraud landscape.
• Capability to work with extensive datasets and translate findings into actionable insights.
• Strong analytical mindset with exceptional problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration capabilities in English, fostering effective teamwork.
• Experience in analyzing web-based and API abuses.

Desirable Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with web security practices and secure configuration methodologies.
• Genuine interest in keeping up with industry trends and advancements in fraud prevention technologies.
• Familiarity with modern fraud-related machine learning techniques.
• Certification as CFE, CFS, CFF, or CISA is an advantage.
