Cybersecurity Specialist

About the position

The Cybersecurity Specialist at L3Harris is responsible for developing necessary documentation to meet contracted Security Data Requirements Letters (SDRLS) that communicate the cybersecurity posture to customers. This role involves collaboration with customers, design engineers, and program management to achieve cybersecurity objectives, while staying updated on system security policies and assisting in the analysis of user and system requirements.

Responsibilities

• Develop all applicable documents required to meet contracted SDRLS.
• Interact with customers and authorization officials to define and achieve required Cybersecurity objectives.
• Work with design engineers and program management to collect cybersecurity-related information for customers.
• Maintain awareness of the most recent system security policies and directives.
• Assist Systems Engineers and other Cybersecurity Specialists with the analysis of user and system requirements and constraints.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Software Engineering, or related field with a minimum of 4 years related experience, or a Graduate Degree with a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience, or 8 years of prior related experience in lieu of a degree.
• Ability to obtain a Secret Security Clearance from the U.S. Government, requiring U.S. Citizenship.
• Experience with the Risk Management Framework (RMF) and the accreditation process.
• Experience with NIST 800-171 and NIST 800-53r4 standards.
• Experience with analyzing system specifications and translating them to cybersecurity requirements.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with routers and firewalls.
• Active Secret Clearance.
• Security+ certification or CISSP certification.
• Familiarity with Platform Information Technology (PIT).
• Experience hardening Windows-based operating systems.
