Position Overview
The Inside Sales & Customer Support Specialist plays a critical role in supporting the outside sales team while serving as a primary point of contact for inbound sales inquiries, walk-in customers, contractors, and utility clients. This position ensures accurate order processing, timely communication, and exceptional customer service to drive revenue and strengthen customer relationships.

Key Responsibilities
Sales & Revenue Support
· Support Outside Sales Representatives with day-to-day tasks including order management, CRM system, cross-functional communication, and customer support
· Process customer orders accurately and efficiently
· Coordinate product availability, pricing, and delivery timelines
· Assist with bid documentation and submittals when needed
Inbound Sales & Customer Service
· Respond to inbound phone and email inquiries
· Serve walk-in customers and contractor accounts
· Provide product recommendations and technical guidance
· Resolve order issues and customer concerns promptly
Operations & Coordination
· Manage orders within ERP system accurately and efficiently
· Coordinate with warehouse and logistics teams on shipments
· Monitor open orders and proactively communicate delays
· Support inventory tracking and stock replenishment coordination
Qualification & Skills
· 2+ years experience in inside sales, distribution, or contractor-facing environment preferred
· Bachelor’s degree in business, sales, marketing, or related field
· Strong customer service skills with the ability to build rapport and handle inquiries professionally
· Basic understanding of sales processes and techniques
· Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
· Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM software is preferred
· Positive attitude with a proactive approach to problem-solving
· Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while also demonstrating independence when needed
· Knowledge of waterworks, metering equipment, or utility products a plus

Compensation
· $80,000 - $95,000 with a commission and bonus structure based on sales, margin and operational targets
Job Location
The Inside Sales & Customer Support Specialist will be based in NECO’s home office in Cincinnati, OH. Occasional travel may be required with all business expenses paid by the company.
