Position Overview

We are on the lookout for a meticulous and security-oriented Cybersecurity Systems Specialist to fortify mission-critical client systems and ensure the integrity of our backups. This vital role will support our Technical Operations team by managing and enhancing both on-premises and cloud server infrastructure, guaranteeing robust backup and disaster recovery solutions, and providing proactive system administration across various clients.

In this role, you will collaborate closely with our service desk, engineering, and security teams while upholding high compliance standards and ensuring unparalleled reliability in a dynamic environment driven by the Entrepreneurial Operating System (EOS).

Your Responsibilities

• Install, patch, and secure Windows Server, VMware vSphere, Active Directory, and associated services.
• Configure, upgrade, and relocate PC and peripheral hardware as necessary.
• Monitor, test, and remediate backup jobs, conducting quarterly restore tests.
• Resolve critical backup failures within 24 hours and manage Priority-1 incidents through to resolution.
• Document all changes in IT Glue and adhere to change-management procedures.
• Provide remote and onsite security consulting, recommending hardware upgrades, cloud migrations, and improvements to disaster recovery.
• Create daily, weekly, and monthly SOP checklists and monitor KPI metrics (backup success, patch compliance, MTTR) for the TechOps scorecard.
• Maintain runbooks, publish knowledge base articles, and mentor junior technicians.

What We Seek in You

• 3-5 years of systems administration experience, ideally in a managed service provider (MSP) or multi-client setting.
• Strong expertise in Windows Server, VMware, Active Directory, and backup/recovery tools.
• Experience with cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or GCP is preferred.
• Relevant certifications like MCSA/MCSE, VCP, or backup/security-related credentials are a plus.
• Proven track record of adhering to strict uptime, backup, and patching SLAs.
• Leadership abilities to manage and hold others accountable (LMA experience is a bonus).
• Excellent troubleshooting, documentation, and communication skills.
• Familiarity with the EOS framework (Scorecards, Rocks, L10s) is an advantage.
