Senior Technical Accountant Consultant

Position Summary

Our client is seeking a strong Senior Technical Accountant consultant for a long-term engagement (6+ months) who will support technical accounting and financial reporting activities related to a company integration. This role requires a strong blend of technical accounting expertise and operational insight to ensure accurate, compliant, and timely financial reporting within a fast-paced environment.

Compensation: $85 to $100/HR W2 + benefits offered through Sayva

Location: This role requires the ability to work onsite 5 days per week in Cincinnati, Ohio.

Key Responsibilities

• Support technical accounting and financial reporting throughout a company integration
• Translate operational and transactional data into accurate financial statements and related disclosures
• Prepare and build financial statement footnotes in accordance with applicable accounting standards
• Document, reconcile, and improve accounting processes to ensure consistency and audit readiness
• Support internal and external audits, including preparation of schedules and responses to audit inquiries
• Align financial reporting with policies, standards, and reporting requirements
• Partner closely with senior leadership across both companies to resolve complex accounting and reporting issues

Qualifications

• Strong U.S. GAAP knowledge, especially in technical accounting, lease accounting, and financial reporting
• Demonstrated experience supporting audits and building or adapting financial statement footnotes
• Confidence, independence, and ability to thrive in a high-pressure environment
• Public accounting foundation (Big 4 or regional) is nice to have
• Banking, equipment finance, or specialty lending experience is nice to have
• Experience in finance integration: purchase accounting, GL/subledger mapping, reporting alignment is preferred
