Position Overview
Ohio Fire Code requires all fire protection equipment and systems to be serviced annually or more frequently. Every business must contract for these services. The Fire Service Sales Consultant is responsible for generating new customers and cross-selling services to existing customers for required fire protection services, including fire extinguishers, sprinkler systems, fire alarms, exit and emergency lighting, and fire suppression systems.
Requirements
- Minimum of two years of business-to-business sales experience
- Willingness to cold call
- Strong follow-up and organizational skills
- Ability to meet established performance standards
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
- Ability to use the internet for research
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to read, write, speak, and comprehend English
- High school diploma or GED required
- Reliable vehicle, valid driver’s license, and satisfactory motor vehicle report (car allowance provided)
- Ability to successfully pass a pre-employment drug screening and background check
Compensation
Compensation includes a generous base salary plus commissions and bonuses. A car allowance is also provided. First year compensation typically ranges from $60,000 - $120,000 with the possibility to earn more in future years with the accumulation of prospects.
